Unfortunately, the left is currently paralyzed because:
a) There is no real leadership
b) The only potential "leaders" we do have cannot break from the failures of the USSR and other "communist" regimes and are incapable of putting forward a vision of future society that appeals to anyone who is not in extreme denial or has not had a lobotomy.
